Tile History

View, filter, graph, and export historical values for Motion Tiles using Show History.

Show History

The Show History feature lets you view historical values for a Motion Tile. Use Show History to review how a tile’s value changed over time, compare up to five tiles in a single graph, adjust the reporting interval, select a specific date and time range, and export historical tile data.

Opening Show History

You can open Show History from a tile on a Mosaic Dashboard.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Mosaic Dashboard that contains the tile you want to review.

  2. Select the tile icon to open the tile options menu.

  3. Select Show History.

Viewing historical tile values

After selecting Show History, Motion displays a graph of historical values for the selected tile.

From this view, you can:

  1. View the tile’s historical values on a graph.

  2. Compare up to five tiles in a single graph.

  3. Move to an older or newer time period.

  4. Select a specific date and time range.

  5. Choose how values are displayed.

  6. Adjust the value interval.

  7. Export historical values as a CSV.

Selecting a date and time range

Use the date range selector to choose the time period shown in the graph. You can select both the date and time for the beginning and end of the reporting window.

This is useful when you need to review a specific time period, such as overnight sensor values.

Example

To view Particulate Matter (PM2.5) readings from 3:00 AM on July 1 through 6:00 PM on July 2, select:

  1. Start date/time: July 1, 3:00 AM

  2. End date/time: July 2, 6:00 PM

The graph updates based on the selected date and time range.

Moving to older or newer values

Use Older and Newer to move backward or forward through historical values.

Steps

  1. Select Older to view an earlier time period.

  2. Select Newer to move forward again.

The graph updates based on the selected direction and current date range.

Comparing multiple tiles in one graph

Show History can display historical values for multiple tiles in a single graph. This is useful when you want to compare related tile values over the same time period, such as temperature, humidity, set point, IAQ, flow, or other sensor readings.

You can stack or overlay up to five tiles in one graph.

Steps

  1. Open Show History from the first tile you want to review.

  2. Select additional tiles from the dashboard to add them to the graph.

  3. Repeat until the tiles you want to compare are shown.

  4. Use the graph legend to identify each tile’s values.

  5. Adjust the date/time range or interval as needed.

Layout options

Option
Description

Show One Tile at a Time

Displays one tile’s historical values at a time.

Stack Multiple Tiles’ Values

Displays multiple tile values together in one graph.

Use Stack Multiple Tiles’ Values when you want to compare several related tile readings across the same time period.

Notes

  • Up to five tiles can be shown in the same graph.

  • Each tile appears as a separate line in the graph.

  • The graph legend identifies which line belongs to each tile.

  • Date/time range and interval settings apply to the graph view.

Changing the value interval

The interval controls how many historical values are shown in the graph.

Interval options

Option
Description

Every Recorded Value

Shows every value recorded for the selected time range.

First Value Stored Every 5 Minutes

Shows the first stored value for each 5-minute interval.

First Value Stored Every 15 Minutes

Shows the first stored value for each 15-minute interval.

First Value Stored Every ½ Hour

Shows the first stored value for each half-hour interval.

First Value Stored Every Hour

Shows the first stored value for each hourly interval.

First Value Stored Every 4 Hours

Shows the first stored value for each 4-hour interval.

Steps

  1. Select the interval option.

  2. Choose the interval you want to use.

  3. Review the updated graph.

Use a shorter interval when you need more detail. Use a longer interval when you want a simpler view over a larger time range.

Exporting historical values

Select CSV to export historical tile values.

There are two export options:

Export option
Description

Currently shown values

Exports the values currently displayed in the graph.

All values in a date range

Downloads all values available for the selected date range.

Use currently shown values when you only need the data visible in the graph. Use all values in a date range when you need the full dataset for a selected reporting window.

Notes

  • The values shown in Show History depend on the selected date/time range and interval.

  • If multiple tiles are being reviewed, the selected layout determines how the values are displayed.

  • Exported CSV files can be used for offline review, reporting, or sharing with other teams.
